Welcome to the website of the Parish of St Barnabas the Apostle, Antiochian Orthodox Archdiocese of Australia and New Zealand, located on the Gold Coast in Queensland, Australia. Established in 1994 in Southport (Gold Coast), we are under the leadership of His Eminence Paul (Saliba), Metropolitan-Archbishop of Australia and New Zealand, and pastored by the Reverend Father Raymond Smith. The Parish of St Barnabas aims to provide a stable, warm and caring family to reach out to others with the Good News of the Resurrection and the fulness of the Faith. A far-reaching parish, we have members from the Darling Downs to the Sunshine Coast down to northern New South Wales. In accord with these emphases, all of our services are celebrated in the English language. For further information, please click on any of the links on the right.
As Orthodox Christians, we have recently celebrated the Resurrection of Christ (this year on April 27); on the Archdiocesan website, His Eminence Paul, our Archbishop, has released the Easter Message for 2008.
Upcoming events and feastdays in April 2008: This site is updated 1-2 times a week.
